Join EO Metro chapters from across APAC in the city that came before Bangkok.

For over 400 years, Ayutthaya was the royal capital of Siam, one of the great trading cities of Asia. Founded in 1350, it is where Bangkok’s story began. Now it’s where ours does: three days of learning, culture and one very big night, hosted by EO Bangkok Metropolitan.

  1. Hands painting a traditional Thai paper fan beside jasmine garlandsDay 1

    Original

    Fri 19 Feb

Thailand as it has always been. Arrive, make your own Thai souvenir, then a royal Thai welcome dinner by the river.

  2. A temple spire lit by blue and pink festival lightsDay 2

    Sat 20 Feb

Thai culture, 2027 edition. Ancient temples by day, Learning Session 1, then a night we're not allowed to tell you about yet.

  3. Monks in saffron robes walking past temple ruins at dawnDay 3

    Gratitude

Sun 21 Feb · Makha Bucha

A Buddhist holy day. Optional dawn almsgiving, a river cruise, Learning Session 2, then home.

Learning

Two big ideas. Thailand’s story. Your business.

Two learning sessions built around how Thailand reinvents itself, and what entrepreneurs everywhere can take home from it.

Speakers to be announced.

Session 1

From opium fields to cannabis policy

How Thailand went from ending opium cultivation to legalising cannabis, and what it teaches us about policy, markets and timing.

A spread of Thai dishes on banana leaves

Session 2

Bringing Thai food to the world

How a national cuisine became a global brand, and the playbook behind taking local products international.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Who can come?
Big Bang Fest is built for EO members from the APAC Metro chapters. Spouses and life partners (SLPs) are very welcome. Anyone with the link can register.
Can I bring my SLP?
Yes. Add them as a second attendee when you register. Each attendee pays the per-person price.
What should I wear?
Comfortable, smart casual for the days. At temples, shoulders and knees must be covered and shoes come off inside temple halls, so slip-on shoes help. We'll share dress themes for the evenings closer to the date.
Is there really no alcohol on Sunday?
Sunday 21 Feb is Makha Bucha, a national Buddhist holy day. Alcohol sales stop across Thailand for the day. It's the final day of the trip and a beautiful one to experience.
Which flight should I book?
Land at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) by early afternoon on Fri 19 Feb. We’ve picked a recommended flight for every chapter, there and back.
Where do I stay?
Our partner hotel is Centara Ayutthaya. Hotel accommodation is not included in the price. We're confirming a group rate now and will email every registrant the details and how to book.
How do I pay?
Securely through PayPal, in USD. You can pay with a PayPal account or with a credit or debit card through PayPal. Your price is locked when you start checkout.
Can I transfer or cancel my place?
You can transfer your place to another person until 31 Jan 2027. Refunds are at EO Bangkok Metropolitan's discretion, less PayPal fees. Full terms are shown before you pay.
Do I need a visa?
Many nationalities can visit Thailand visa-free or get a visa on arrival, but rules change. Please check the official sources: Thai e-Visa and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is required before you fly.
